An unsecured loan is a loan where collateral is not required. Typically, the lender bases their decision to provide you an unsecured loan if you have a proven track record of paying your bills on time and have good credit. However, there are many unsecured loans available even for persons with bad credit. These tend to be loans of smaller amounts, where the lender has less risk.
